Hi

Does anyone know how to get the IE7 icon on the desktop, not a shortcut, but
an
actual system icon like the "Computer" icon?

This feature was available in IE6 Advanced Internet Settings.

Thanks
Steve

I found this in a posting and it works.

Copy the text into notepad and save with the reg prefix
Once saved double click it to import it into your registry

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons\NewStartPanel]
"{871C5380-42A0-1069-A2EA-08002B30309D}"=dword:00000000

Yeah that worked. Thanks very much!

Cheers
Steve
