IE7 Blocking via group policy

Does anyone know how to actually test whether the group policy is working?
Is there a setting in the registry on my clients that would indicate that the
ie7 update is indeed being blocked?

I do not have a clue - you are asking about IE7 in the IE6 newsgroup.
