On a couple of W2K server machines, I recently updated
them with all latest sp's & patches via Windows update,
including internet explorer. After doing this, internet
explorer will start but stops responding when trying to
load it's homepage. Additional notes:
- Does not matter if the homepage is local (on the
machine) or remote (on internet).
- This problem is occuring on more than one machine.
- Event log shows no warnings or errors
- No processes appear to be eating up the cpu
I have cleared out temporary internet files, cookies,
etc., rebooted to no avail. These are really clean server
machines that are behind a firewall, no spyware, etc. on
these boxes, McAfee virus scanner is installed
