IE6Problem(haven't we all)

Hi I have had to use my recovery disc in windows98. I have updated all as
appropriate! IE6 sometimes works fine, but on many occassions it will not
allow me to go any further than login to my secure sites,ie hotmail etc. On
occasions it will not even open a non secure site.
A window pops up to tell me cannot open page and program aborts.
I am not computer literate so may have some setting incorrect.Can any one
please help.

I was having the same type problem and went to this link
suggested in another post and followed the instructions
on the page for manual killing a file and it worked.
my IE6 in Windows 98 is working again.

look for the instruction to manual kill if the other will
not work. It looks like the following;
