ie6 won't properly display HTML files from hard drive

I recently upgraded to ie6 and found that a couple of HTML
based programs on my hard drive will no longer function
properly. Specifically, the program loads, but ie6 won't
display any of the images in the browser frames. As a
result, I can't see the links that allow me to run the
program.

I'm running a AMD k6-III @400 mhz - Windows 98 SE with 128
mb of ram.

Any ideas?
