IE6 won't close

After using IE6, I can't close the window. I have to use
the task manager to close it.

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.

I found the problem. It was adware causing the windows to
stay open. Get Search & Destroy to remove the adware.

I have the exact same problem. Anybody have a solution? I
tried to uninstall and reinstall IE6 but that didn't
work.
