I have a strange problem. On XP box, when I open more
than 1 instance of IE6, the close button, and Alt-F4 are
disabled. Every occurance must be cancelled using the
task manager. This is a real problem especially if there
are pop ups. Has anybody had this problem before?

Ralph,
The first thing to do is to scan your system for the possibility of
unknown\unwanted spyware or parasites that may be causing your problem(s).

I found the solution to my problem, by searching the
newsgroups... bohodemon worked for me!
Thanks to Don, who replied to a previous post, which I
could not find. I attach it here..

There's a good possibility that this is being caused by a
third-party
program (adware, spyware, parasite)

First try; BHODemon 1.0:
http://www.definitivesolutions.com/bhodemon.htm

Then download, install, update and run one or both of
these programs:
Ad-aware from http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/
Spybot from http://security.kolla.de/

Hi,
"bohodemon worked for me"
BHODemon *only* disabled the culprit, it did *not* remove it!
