IE6 window size and taskbar

I experimented with adding date and time to the taskbar
clock which doubled the height of the taskbar. I reset
the taskbar to a single line. Now the IE6 window which I
set to fill the screen to the top of the taskbar is
resized every few hours to the size when the taskbar was
two lines. This leaves a gap between the IE6 window and
the taskbar. It's not a big deal, but it is annoying.
Does anyone know how to keep the IE6 window from
resizing? Microsoft has been unable to provide a
solution.

Resize the window and press CTRL while you close the window next time.
