Ie6 will not run. i've been in contact with emachines for
the past week trying to figure the problem out. I have
winxp home. I have tried several remedies none of which
have worked. i have even downloaded a fresh version and it
still will not run . All i get is an error report window. I
have sent several error reports. Can anyone help. Does
anyone recognise this problem? Thanks in advance! Regards, Jack

Jack,

Please post the Error Report Module name.

To test with: Disable third-party browser extensions in Internet Explorer
1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click Internet Options.
3. Click the Advanced tab.
4. Under Browsing, clear the Enable third-party browser extensions (requires restart) check box.
5. Restart Internet Explorer.

If this helps, read here for further troubleshooting:

Hey Jack,

Same exact problem here. Don't know why yet. I have
reloaded IE and even Windows XP, no help. I am running
Netscape now just to get by. Ill shout if I find out
anything and please keep me in mind if you do.

Thanks,
Jay

Jack,
I have an emachines with the same problem but it also
extends to opening files with windows explorer, i can't
open virtually anything.
If you get a fix please post!

I've had the same problem as Jay and Jack. The error roport module name is ntdll.dll, which the e-machines tech did not know how to deal with. Running XP--this error started a few days ago. I've tried a restore point back to 1 Jan 04 and that does not help
