IE6 (Web Pages Problems)

Up until a few days ago everything was working fine. When I have a few web
pages on display and try to close one, they all close. I have not installed
any new software recently and tried to look on the microsoft website, but
couldn't find anything. I have Windows XP home edition and have McAfee
Security. There are no error messages, the web pages just all shut down.

First eliminate any spyware.
