IE6 vs XP Pro

Since I got my computer (custom build, XP Pro on it), and connected it to the internet, I have been randomly getting pop-up errors. These errors indicate that a "Run-time Error has occured" in line XX (it varies) and asks me if I would like to de-bug. I can replicate this error on one page that is consistent about doing it, and loads fine when I say no, but it also happens on other pages, and is random. At times, the page will load fine, can simply push refresh and it will do it. Other times I can have a page loaded and minimize IE, and when I go back to it, it will pop-up this message. Sometimes it won't load correctly when I say "no" and sometimes I have to close IE and restart it for it to work.

I am working on doing the IE6 repairs that were suggested in a couple of other threads for other issues, but I am waiting to get the XP disc from the person who put XP on this computer, so I can't do them yet. Will IE repairs even SOLVE this problem? (I have others, but I'm hoping they are resolved with the repairs). This one has been chronic and since it's not really that irritating, I've ignored it.

Any advice is welcome, I will try to check back daily.
Thank you,
Melissa.

If may be a very simple fix.

Common script errors messages can be eliminated by Clicking:
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options. 3. In the Internet Options
dialog box, click Advanced.
4. Click to select the Disable script debugging check box.
5. Click to clear the Display a notification about every script error check
box.
6. Click OK.

Microsoft's Scripting download
Get the latest. Two download versions are available for Windows Script 5.6.
The first version requires Windows 2000, XP; the second version requires
Microsoft Windows 98, Millenium Edition (Me), or NT 4.0.
Choose the download appropriate for your operating system.
