Hi folks.
New to this group, could anyone please offer some much needed advice?
Been using IE6 now for some time but saw that IE7 is now available for
download from the Windows update site. So off I went and did it! once it had
loaded I decided that I was not over keen on the look of it and it kept
displaying an error message stating there was something wrong with a file
named RUN A DLL. I then wished to return to my old IE6.
It advised to delete IE7 using add/remove programs and on completion restart
my computer and then I would have back my IE6 intact.

Quite true to a certain extent, except that when I hit the search button on
IE6 the search pane opens with the usual dialogue box to type in a subject.
I then type in a word, hit search and a whole list of weblinks appear as
would be expected. But on trying to connect to any of these absolutely
nothing happens.

Please help!

Regards. Len.

Hi Len
The below might help - but first consider in case you are tempted again -
IE7 is betaware.
Before putting betaware on your computer
make an informed choice - research it first.
Do a Google for articles etc.
Ask yourself -

Am I a betaware tester
Do I have a second test system
Do I want to chance my one and only system
to betaware problems just for the sake of trying it
or must have cos its new.

Those who have had problems with IE7 beta and
have tried to revert back to IE6, have also had problems.

Below are the most recommended places to look.
