Ever since I installed the critical XP patches on
14Nov2003 (See following list of patches made) from
Microsoft's windowsupdate site, my Internet Explorer 6
doesn't work properly any more.
Patches Done
------------
KB810243
KB822603
Q828026
KB824141
KB823182
KB824105
KB825119
KB828035
Windows Update V4
My OS: Windows XP Pro Ver 2002 (Service Pack 1)
My IE: version 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633
Usually, after using my IE for awhile or with one or more
opened browser windows, my surfing slows down to a crawl.
Checking my "Temporary Internet Files" options, the
location of this folder is not shown, and the size goes
to 0. The slider bar to increase its size doesn't work
nor am I able to increase its size to more than 10
either. In either case, OKaying such an action will
prompt me a pop-up error message "Please select a value
between 1 and 0 for how much disk space temporary
Internet files may use".
Come on now.... "1 and 0"??!!
In addition, an attempt to change the folder location (I
have tons of space) to other valid and spacous hard drive
directories will result in the error message informing me
that the selected folder have not enough capacity. (can't
remember error message exactly).
Anyone out there faced similar problems like me? Anyone
able to help?
Thanks!
Chris
