Haven't quite figured out what 'causes' this, but when i first boot up
everything runs fine. Sometimes (& the when is the part I haven't figured out
yet) IE 6 appears to lose connectivity- when I go to load cnn.com, my home
page, the system shows that it's going to the IP address instead of cnn.com
(or any other site) and just sits there. Takes forever to load and often
simply hangs up. The problem goes away with re-boot. Running McAfee Security
Center. No bad guys here I can find. ANy ideas, suggestions?

Hi Jon,

The site has some popups when it is loaded. Check your popup-blocker
settings or add the site to your trusted zone. There is also a scripting
error on the start page at cnn.com . They have to fix that! but check that
you do not have the setting "Disable script debugging" on the Advanced tab
of Internet Options checked.

Regards.

What happens if you turn McAfee off?

Have you checked for malware not caught by McAfee?

Hi Jon. I have IE 7 and I have had problems with the javaspript on the
page for the CNN website. I can view everything on CNN fine with Mozilla
Firefox browser. Perhaps you may want to try using that to see if it works.
Also as far as IE not working delete your temporary internet files and your
history. That can speed things up sometimes. Go to tools, internet options,
and delete files from there. Hope this is helpful.
Best regards,
Kaja
