IE6 (sp2) doesn't open

When trying to open IE it gives an error message (the one that asks for
sending the report, you know) and doesn't open. Have tried everything I know
(de-installed it, re-installed, tested the system, checked for virus, spys
and all of that, didn't find anything). The strange thing is that access to
internet is ok, as my anti-virus soft downloads virus definitions perfectly.
Any clue on what can I do?

etc etc. I could use some help too!

Hi,
This is usually caused by another program- often malware. Start with
BHODemon from http://www.definitivesolutions.com/bhodemon.htm Your problem
may simply be a bad BHO.

Then download and run CWShredder, Ad-aware, Spybot (in that order.)
See: http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm
Also note the security tips and other important information on that page.

If unsuccessful with those programs, you may have to post a HijackThis log
for analysis. Start at

http://www.aumha.org/a/quickfix.htm work through the preliminary cleaning
steps and post a HijackThis log to the forum at
http://forum.aumha.org/viewforum.php?f=30

Or...
A legitimate program running in the background may be causing this. Disable
(for diagnostic purposes) programs such as pop-up blockers, security,
anti-virus, etc. You may have to reinstall, or not reinstall, a program.

Thanks very much. My problem is solved. It was a BHO.
Thank you again.
