IE6 SP1 missing from SUS

Joe

Hi again,

Finally I have SUS working a treat, but there is one
exception.

For some reason IE SP1 isn't included in the
synchronization and isn't available for our Win2K clients
to install.

Is this by design or is there something I can do to
resolve the problem?

Thanks,
Joe

I'm on an XP box at the moment (where IE6 was part of the OS install), so
I'm having to work from memory. I think ie6sp1 was only a recommended update
for systems with 5.5 installed. SUS only does critical updates and SPs for
the OS. If you do a manual installation of ie6sp1 or push out the package
through a GPO, then the clients will start picking up those updates.
