Does anyone know why my IE6 runs so slow on my windows XP
home edition. Currently if I go to some web pages using
my XP system it can take as mush a 3 mintues to download
the page (Using DSL). If I use my Windows 2000 system and
the same DSL connection and go to the same web page it
takes only seconds to download. I can not figure out why
and have tried everything to get it to go faster. Some
page are just fine though

First eliminate any scumware.
See
Dealing with Unwanted Spyware, Parasites, Toolbars and Search Engines

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
