IE6 slow/crashes -need help!!

Since upgrading to IE 6 I've been having increasing
trouble with browser slowing down, and in past two weeks,
time between screens is getting increasingly longer. I
have cable modem. Email is unaffected, so I know that
connection is not problem. I have been getting
iexplorer.exe error messages and the computer has actually
shut down as well. Have run virus scans, have kept virus
definitions up to date and have firewall. Need some
suggestions. Am very frustrated. Browsing now is worse
than ever was with dial up connection! Is there a way to
go back to IE5 to see if this fixes the problem? (Am
running on Windows 98) Please post to newsgroup.

Hey Debbie!
You are not the only person having this problem!
I to share the same slowdowns! I suggest not uninstalling
IE6...I did this and Microsoft, in there infinite wisdom,
killed my IE5. Soebody here has to have an answer!
