Hi!
I got a probelm with my IE6 SP1 on windowsXP pro.
some days ago, I had to remove a mailcious dialer from my system using
anti-virus software and now, my Search does not work anymore.
I had a prefix "g" for google, and without a prefix it used the default MSN
search. but now, nothing is searched anymore. it always tries to search like
http://g testsearchstring/
and therefore results in a "server not found" but not in the usual "search
msn for the server" site but in a general error.
I already tried to reinstall IE6, this doesn't work.
what can I do to fix that?

kindly regards

yves

thanks.
I used the Spybot search and destroy- tool to get any leftovers away. could
it be that I'vle lost by that tool the search-functions?

kindly regards

I fixed it now using the IE doctor.
just search for it in google.
now I got the default MSN searchpage again and I was able to add the
g-search prefix for google.
