IE6 Problems

Ok, I am having two weird problems with IE. First,
sometimes after I close the IE window, I will get an
endless stream of popups. These are not ads, they are
just small "this page cannot be displayed" windows. They
keep on being created at a rate of about 3 per second
until the computer crashes. I have had this problem once
before, but the file that i deleted to fix it last time is
not here this time. Also, sometimes after I close the IE
window and don't have the aforementioned problem, I click
on the taskar shortcut to IE and it gets stuck. The icon
is constantly depressed, and the computer locks up. IE
does not show in the task list, and nothing is shown as
not responding. Any help to fix these is appreciated.

Oh, I would like to add, the second problem is much more
common. Also, when that problem occurs, the cursor is
stuck in the hourglass mode whenever it is over the
toolbar, and if i ever right-click anywhere, it is stuck
on the hourglass everywhere on the screen.
