IE6 Problem. Heeeelp me.

Everytime I try to download any file off of any web site,
the download window appears (does not ask me if I
would like to Open or Save As) and says above the
status bar : "Getting File Information..." and has the
animation
of the globe putting paper into the folder. After about 5-
15 seconds, a prompt comes up that says :
"Internet Explorer cannot download [file.exe] from
[website.com]
Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet
site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot
be found. Please try again."

I have wireless DSL and Windows XP. Please respond to
this.



More problems : Flash Player 7 (Macromedia) will not load
anything, and the game, Sims, won't work. It says "Access
is denied." to a file.

Try tools>internet options Advanced and look for a checkbox "Use passive
FTP" and see if that helps any.
