IE6 Outlook express Lost Identity

I have 2 identities built in OutLook Express, they have
worked since I had this new PC about 5 months. All of a
sudden one of the Identity's wouldn't connect to the mail
server. I tried a number of things and even re-built the
Identity, still no go. The other Identity that works
connects to the same mail server and works. If the user of
the Identity goe direct to webpage mail that the ISP
provides it works ok, just not thru outlook express. Our
ISP says it's a known problem problem with outlook
express. I can't seem to find any problem update on
microsoft update page. I am running XP Home edition.

Any help appreciated.
