IE6 opens new windows

When I start IE it starts to load my home page, but after a minute it continuously opens new windows, if don't disconnect it will go on forever. When I do disconnect it will keep opening more until I get one with web page unavailable. I can't close any of them either online or not it says the windows is busy and it won't close. I don't know it my other problem is related but when I am working offline a dial-up connect window will come up. I don't know where the request iscoming from, it just happens automaticallly. Do any of these things match a virus? I need help to fix this things asap.

I am having the same problem. If you find out anything
let me know. Every once in a while it does not happen,
but 99% of the time it does.

Almost the same here. Used to keep opening windows, but
now just can not open homepage. But it is specific to
having my homepage set to my ISP main page which is
comcast.net. It keeps trying to open it..I keep hearing
click, click, click. I can access any other web site and
also set them as my homepage with no problems. Afer
running virus scans, spy-ware, ad-ware, pcdoctor, and
reloading IE, it still is happening.
