IE6 'Open in new window' fails

For all users other than me, the IE 'Open in new window'
option no longer works. Also, clicking certain links
does nothing, and clicking links inside Outlook does
nothing. Creating new user accounts just makes them
inherit this nasty behaviour.

I've searched the knowledgebase and investigated some of
the suggested fixes, but none of them refers to fixing
the problem for specific users. SP2 didn't have any
effect.

Dell Dimension 8300/XP Pro (SP2)/All auto updates applied
 
Woops - didn't realise a similar question was posted
below. Anyway its fixed....

.....it now works after following the KB 274696 article
and adding INTERACTIVE back in the DCOMCNFG Default
Access Permissions (the XP equivalent that is). How that
got removed is another question.
