IE6 Not Working at ALL...HELP!!!

Use IE everyday, all of a sudden, not working. Says
website found waiting for reply and nothing loads. Outlook
Express works fine. Have Cox digital service, called them,
they're stumped. Downloaded Netscape at work took it home
but can't complete install because it will not connect.
Can anyone help?
Windows 98
IE6
 
They said they couldn't help that it must be a problem
with IE. Downloaded to disk at work and reinstalled last
night, no help
