Hi...and I'm sure this has been asked before.
I'm having trouble with IE6 freezing and not responding. It seems to happen
whenever it wants, but more so if I've been away from the computer for a
while. I'm running XP SP2 on a relatively new Gateway. I routinely run full
virus/spyware scans through Norton and they've been coming up clean. I
recently cleared out my temp internet files and that didn't seem to help
either.
Thanks to anyone who can help.

Norton is not enough for catching spyware/adware.

CAUTION!!!!! Before you try to remove spyware using any of these programs ,
download a copy of LSPFIX from any of the following sites:
http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm
http://www.spychecker.com/program/winsockxpfix.html
(if your OS is Win2k or XP) The process of removing certain malware may kill
your internet connection. If this should occur, this program, LSPFIX, will
enable you to regain your connection.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated with the program's update function
before every use, even when just downloaded. There's also a lot more to do
than just those two programs. CWShredder is also available here:

I downloaded and ran adaware as well as the CWshredder you posted below.
Both came up perfectly clean on the system.

It's still hanigng up and did so again right after I posted my initial
question.

Thanks for the suggestions
