IE6 Not Responding

IE continues to freeze on a regular basis. I have all updates installed, and
have ran multiple virus scans and spyware scans and have found nothing. Have
not installed anything new recently that would cause a conflict. Anyone have
any other ideas on how to solve this?
 
I don't have an answer, but I have exactly the same problem. I also have all
updates and have no spyware or viruses. I really wish someone could
help...I'm beginning to think that Microsoft is the only one that can fix
this problem and I don't know why they aren't. I'm sure there are a lot more
people than just us having this problem. Mine hung up three times
today...very frustrating. Other days...no problem. It's so random, it's
impossible to figure out what is causing it. I always submit the Error
Report to Microsoft in hopes that if they get enough reports they will do
something to correct it. I hope everyone else does the same...
 
same here. been going on for a week now. all updates, both msn and antivirus
all comeplete, all scans clean. ie6 snags after about 5 minutes every time.
extremely frustrating.
 
it happens all the time on my laptop. everyday it freezes. I'm about to go
apple if they don't fix this crap
 
Same here, with a twist...

IE locks up completely when I try to type in the Address bar field a new URL.
Also, sometimes if I enter a URL in the Yahoo toolbar search window field
and just hit the enter key instead of clicking "search web".

I suspect recent "Windows Updates" are the culprit; I have searched
everywhere and can find no answers.

We need a MVP!
 
All my computer start developing that strange behavoir afer 6th of May (more
or less). Same recover with the next updates, others, only after remove
VitalAgentIT(you can re-install, the problem won't came back).
At this moment, I have 2 remaining computers with problem.
If you remove network cable, the blocked windows unblock immediately.

To temporarily fix the problem, disable Automatic Update service

I have cleaned spyware, I have all updates, no virus found, and used norton
systemworks to fix any window or registery problem and cleaned all temp
files, I have updated Sun Microsystems Java env. and IE 6 still jammed up.

Thank god for firefox

Is there a real fix possible
Is Microsoft aware or unaware?

What toolbars and other internet helper programs do you have installed?
