IE6 not loading websites

ok. i got an Im from a friend earlier. he said his IE6
broswer wont access any websites. so far he has checked
for viruses and spyware, nothing, and he has tried
reinstalling via the ie setup program. nothing. he has
tried mozilla and it works fine. any ideas from some of
the experts here? my next suggestion would be a complete
uninstall of IE and install it fresh. plz email me with
the answer since i dont check the newsgroups often.

If you get an answer to this, would you pleas forward it
to (e-mail address removed) Im having the same problem. Nothing
will load. It says im not authorized to view that page.
