yes - it was working on my machine recently too, must be a problem with a
recent update

FWIW, seeing the same thing here - XP SP-2 w/ all updates (save for the
ActiveX one).

thanks, but this doesn't apply - i can see one out of the three pictures
I thin the key is that the images that are not displayed are very very small
(in terms of bytes)

Hi John :-)

You don't mention the version of Windows you are using, which really is a
must when asking for help in the newsgroups. The likely cause is something
that is not set correctly, or blocking the gif, on your end. Try the
following and see if it will help:

First - Clearing the Temporary Internet Cache -
Safely Delete the Temporary Internet Files

Are there any solutions to the IE6 missing GIF problem

Make sure that the Kill-bit is _NOT_ set to Flash Control.

and..

Do you have an accelerator supplied by your ISP? If so, try turning it off.
It works by reducing image size (and therefor quality) for downloads.

Try clearing the IE cache. IE>Tools>Options>General>Delete files (and
delete offline content.)

Zone Alarm Pro can block Images in IE

1. Go into IE>Tools>Internet Options>Security>Custom level>reset custom
level to Medium or Low
2. Go into IE>Tools>Internet Options>Privacy>set the slider to Medium or Low
3. Uncheck "remove private headers" for all sites.
4. Go to this site and read on adjusting the Privacy settings in ZA. It will
explain how to customize on a per site basis.

If still no joy………..

Pictures are not displayed in Internet Explorer

Hope this helps.
