Hello - recently IE6 on my XP machine stopped displaying
the proper fonts/sizes. I've tried adjusting the font
selection (and size) in the "setup" menu, but it has
no effect. The funny thing is, some pages display
properly, but others don't. The font appears larger than
intended, causing the page layout to be messed up. For
example if I navigate to http://sfgate.com/chronicle/,
the font is larger than it's supposed to be, and as a
result the text layout is not correct. For example, the
left column shows large text overlapping the right column
boundary.
This didn't happen when I first installed XP on this
machine, it just started "on it's own" one day.
Interestingly, the same thing happened a few days later
on another machine here, but then the issue disappeard
as quickly as it came. However on this original
machine, the problem persists.
Is this a known problem, and is there a workaround to
resolve it (and to get the font/size specification in the
setup menu to have some effect)?
Thanks in advance,
