ie6 not connecting

For some reason, IE will not connect to the
internet. Third party browsers work, but I want my IE
back. The browser does appear on the screen but it says
it can't connect, like it would had you disconnected your
internet.
This appeared suddenly, after we moved. We DID get
it going but it wasn't long after (maybe two weeks) that
we lost IE.
Anyone have any suggestions as to what I may do to
get it back? I've run Norton's antivirus and it hasn't
found any viruses on the pc.

Thanks in advance, Pussn

try using the third party and download ie and make it your default browser
after it installs.

Thanks Orson, hadn't even thought of that. I'll let you
know how it works out.

All right, I've downloaded IE though microsoft using
a third party browser, downloaded it, installed it. Same
problem. Should I maybe be looking at deleting it
completly from the add/remove program or what? Plus, can
you remind me how does one go about making IE their
default browser?
Thanks again! Pussn
