IE6 launch problem

In the past several weeks, it takes up to 3 to 5 minutes for IE6 to be
functional after I initiate. At the same time, Netscape and FireFox
explorers come up almost immediately. What can be the problem?

I tried downloading and installing a renewed version of IE6 but my pc tells
me "no can do, because I already have later version installed" How can one
uninstall IE6? - unable to do through control panel tools!

I tried replacing with IE7 several months ago, but among other operational
problems, I did not know how to import bookmarks from IE6; so I went back to
IE6.

HELP!

It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware with
