Hi,
My XP box is having 2 issues:
1) IE6 is not exiting properly, when you click the "Close
X" in the right hand corner or roght click to close, it
hangs and becomes non-responsive. So far I kill it
through the task manager or right click to close it again
and end up with the "this program is not responding". I
then end the program.

2) Apparently something has happened to disable the
regular MS search. When I click on the tool bar, the MS
search window opens(on the left of the frame), but is
blank...

I've done a Norton virus scan an it didn't find anything.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Brad Webb.

First eliminate any scumware.
See

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
