Hello, I don't have an internet connection at home. I download IE6 (WIN98SE)
from a public computer onto my pendrive, and back home the installer wants to
go online - which it can't, obviously. Anyone know how, where I can get the
standalone program installer?
Many Thanks, Bob

It's been awhile, but I recall that you download their iesetup.exe
program which is small and can then select within it to download the
rest. You don't actually do an install but tell the setup program
that you want to download it all first. Then it is wherever you told
it to download the files and you install from there. So you'll
actually have to run the downloaded setup program to then have it get
the rest of the files.

Okay, found the KB article with the command-line switches for
ie6setup.exe:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/313991/en-us

Download the ie6setup.exe file and then run it with the /T and /C
command-line switches.

Thanks all for the responses. I'm sure I can get the file now.
But at 74MB I'll have to take a flask of tea, and War and Peace to the shop.
Ta.
Bob.
