Chuck

I get this message every time I boot my system. I have no
idea why it started, or when. Anybody have a clue where I
could look to start figuring this out???

Hi Chuck,

If you are using UltraCapture, start your troubleshooting there. If this
applies:

When the program starts, it shows "register hotkey failed", what should I
do?

At any time, even the main window is not active or visible, you can press
the hotkey to start a capture. The program's default hotkey is "F11". But
the system hotkey may be used by other program, and you will see a "Register
hotkey error" popup. Then you can set up your own hotkey to that hasn't been
used.

If not, good luck!

Kelly,

Thanks for your reply!
AFAIK I'm not using Ultracapture, I've never even heard of
it...

This problem started a while back, origin unknown. Since
then I did a reinststall of XP. This made the problem
dissapear. And then I checked for the for the problem's
reoccurence on each boot after installing all the windows
updates. It seemed to come back after the SP1 install
step. Prior to the reinstall I tried paring down my
startup items, to the bone, but it made no difference.
Also uninstalled Norton firewall and antivirus, no joy :(
