I have this problem:
"When I click the circular arrow icon in IE6 to view my
history, there's nothing there. It says "Monday", but
when I click on Monday, nothing happens. My visited URLs
are still in memory, because the dropdown list on the
Address box is still full of recent URLs. And while I'm
in the History pane, I can click Search and search for a
given string and get a bunch of recently visited URLs.
But I just can't get anything to appear in the View mode
of the History pane."
The advice was:
"If you are using McAfee anti-virus, turn off the ActiveX part of Internet
Filter."
Which does work -- but my question is, what is the relative increase in
danger by disabling the ActiveX control on your filter? Is it a high risk,
or a very low risk? Is it worth turning off the ActiveX filter in order to
get the history to show up? Please advise. Thanks.
