I have never consciously loaded Mozilla Firefox on my computer, but now,
every web site opens in Mozilla. I don't want my web sites opening in
Mozilla. How do I get rid of it?

Hi,
Go to Internet Options> Programs> Check the box "Internet Explorer should
check to see whether it is the default browser>" Close all instances of IE.
When you reopen IE, you should be asked if you want IE to be the default
browser. Answer yes.

Also, in Firefox> Tools> Options> General> Firefox should check... > Check
now> answer no.

Hope this helps,

I am in the same boat as msebold. i can start out in explorer just fine, but
whenever explorer needs to open a new window - up comes firefox. When I
uninistalled firefox, explorer would not work and I was left with an error
message that read "application not found".

Any suggestions?

If the OS is Windows XP, or Windows Vista, use "Set Program and Defaults" to
restore MSIE as your default browser.

Hi,
Setting Internet Explorer as the default browser from Control Panel> Add or
remove programs> Set program access and defaults will probably fix this. If
it does not, you may have to make a registry edit.

Do you have this registry key?
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{c90250f3-4d7d-4991-9b69-a5c5bc1c2ae6}
Reference: http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2005/12/16/504864.aspx
You should not have this key with IE6. An update for IE6 may have created
it. Installing or updating Firefox may have created it.
Installing/uninstalling IE7 may have left the key behind.

If you find that key in your registry, Export it (just in case) Delete it.
Restart.

If you're not familiar with regedit, please post back or seek help.

Hope this helps,
