IE6 hangs constantly. For every browsing session my PC
must send 30 error reports to Microsoft. And yet, there
seems to be no resolution in sight from Microsoft. What
happened to the good old days when IE was reliable? I'm
totally fed up and switching to Netscape. At least it
doesn't hang constantly when I browse simple, no-frames
web sites. Aaargh!!

At least it starts! My IE6 gives an immediate error on
startup - and has to be shut down - after sending an error
report to MS. I have done all the diagnostics I can think
of - updated my anti virus and rerun it - completely
reloaded Windows - used Netscape to obtain the latest
version of IE6 from MS and reloaded it. No difference. IE6
will not load. I have had to completely disable and abandon
IE6 and now use Netscape 7 only.

I have tried the Miscosoft auto update page, but it
requires you to be running IE6 to work. Well done MS -
Catch 22. You can't fix IE as you must run it to fix it.

Wouldn't it be great if instead of adding endless crap to
their software MS made it reliable. Exploit what computers
should be good at - error checking, self repairing etc.
We've had PCs for long enough that the basic software
should always work and never crash.
