ie6 gets shut down

I get a msg reading that Run Time Error has requesting an
abnormal program shut down. It also asks to contact the
vendor. When I click the X the IE program shuts down
completely. I am out of waranty.

This has been happening lately. I ran sophos virus check
and Norton Virus tools, and cleaned out MSBB-A virus that
was enbedded in system.
