ie6 freezes up when doing serches and stops responding

When doing a search such as on ebay the browser will
freeze up and stop responding - most times i have to re-
boot the system to have it work briefly again. Have
downloaded all the recent service patches - actually thats
when the problem started ----- any ideas??????
