IE6 drops off line when loading certain webistes

I'm having a small problem with IE6. When I type in
certain urls in the address block and hit enter IE6 drops
off line. I was trying to access E-Bay today and when I
typed the address in IE6 vanished. This has happened
before with other websites. Every time it happens I have
to move over to MSN Explorer and type the address there
where it loads everytime.
