IE6 crashes with WMP embedded!

Hi there!
Each time IE6 opens a web page containing an embedded WMP object, the
browser soon crashes and quits giving no error msg! I can't find anyone
even in the Event Register (or whatever is called in english... I have
an Italian installation). If I open the same page with Mozilla FireFox
1.5, the browser showes the Player but no movie is played! The error
number I get is "800C000D"... at least FF doesn't crash!
PLZ help! I don't know what to do!

My OS is Windows XP PRO SP2 (Italian), WMP 10, IE 6.

Nobody knows what to do??
The hints I've already found in this NG about the problem didn't work on
my PC... I've also tried installing IE7 but nothing changed!
