IE6 crash and exits

When I type in the address bar to search explorer gives me
the following error. EXPLORER caused an invalid page
fault in module MSVCRT.DLL at 0167:7800ef46. It then exits
and shuts down. Any thoughts??????
After I restart and try again it defaults to Lycos search
engine.

you have been highjacked by the lycos junk. try spybot from
safer-networking.org .update ,scan on easy and remove all
that junk. but before that ,to get into ie settings .
start,control panal,internet
connections,internet,advanced,uncheck 'allow 3rd party
browser extensions',apply. . and on spybot use immunize also.
