I'm finding several problems with IE6.
First when I call up my search menu it doesn't allow me to
customize the search any more. the only search engine is
some 2003 Web base search. I use to be able to choose
Hotbot, atlas vita,or a bunch of other search engines.

Next problem is I can't change my security level. Iwanted
to lowere it to medium low. When I change it , it defaults
back to medium. I've of course tried every reset and "OK"
button on the menu in every sequance.

Next I cant get my activeX settings to change same thing
as security level...i change it but it defaut right back
as soon as I exit.

Lastly I simply can't install Micromedia Flash player. It
currently is missing completely from my system. So I can't
see certain pages. I've spent hours trying to get it to
install. I click on install it sends me to the page that
reads "installion complete when I see the icon in the
box." The icon never appears. This is the biggist problem.

Should I reinstall IE6..and how in the world do I do that?

You have probably been hacked by a new variant of a parasite.

Go to http://www.spywareinfo.com/downloads.php#det
Download "Hijack This!" [freeware] or download direct (below):
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/hijackthis.zip

Unzip, double-click "HijackThis.exe" and Press "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log"
button.
Click: "Save Log" (generates "hijackthis.log")

Next, HijackThis | Config [button] | Misc Tools [button]
Click: Generate StartupList log [button] (generates "startuplist.txt")

Next, go to the below location:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/forums/

Sign in, then copy and paste both files in your message.
