I have XP SP2, sometimes IE6 will say sorry but will have to close down due
to a problem, no error number comes up. I have scanned for ad/maiware no
probs. Also have probs with outlook express as well as it will not send or
receive e-mails now.

Hi,
This problem is so frequently caused by malware that you should conduct a
very thorough search.

You should Ad-aware, Spybot and (if running WinXP) MS Anti-Spyware (Beta.)
Be sure to update Ad-aware and Spybot before use.

You may have to register and post a HijackThis log to one of these forums
for additional help. Look for the proper forum and an "Important- Read This

Since Outlook Express is also affected, disable, as a test, third-party
antivirus, security, privacy, ad-blocking programs. One of them may be
causing this.

Turn on the windows Firewall (Control Panel> Windows Firewall) and disable
(as a test) your third-party firewall (if you're running one.)

You might try this...
From Start> Run> type in or copy and paste
ipconfig /flushdns Hit [Enter]
Then restart. If this works, you should still be looking for the program(s)
that are causing the problem.

Hope this helps,
