IE6 choosing home page

Megan

I am the sole user on my own single computer and I have
signed on in Windows XP using my password. When I select
Internet Options from the Tools menu in IE6 I get a box
telling me I dont have access and to see the
administrator. I can open the options box from control
panel and do everything except select a home page because
that part of it is ghosted. I want to have MyYahoo as my
homepage
Can anyone help me please,

This restriction can also be caused by spyware. Update your spyware program and
check your system on a regular basis.

If you are running Spybot already, open in Advanced Mode and check this:
Click on Immunize and uncheck the option "Lock IE control panel...." (Under
"Recommended miscellaneous protections" section) - old version 1.2
Exit Spybot and restart IE

Re-enable Internet Options:
Line 268. Restore All Tabs under Internet Options
