IE6 has stopped being able to process Javascript. When
details are entered onto a web form the browser freezes or
crashes completely. It also stopped being able to follow
hyperlinks when the appropriate text was clicked, but I
have managed to cure this one using "regserv32 urlmon.dll"
and restating the browser.

I believe that this may be as a result of a virus attack.
The PC, running Windows 2000 SP4, has been virus checked
and disinfected of a trojan recently. All now seems to be
working fine except the ability to use forms and
Javascript in the browser. Any help would be greatfully
received.

Hi,
Try re-registering all of the DLLs listed in the Resolution section of
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=281679

And, are you sure this machine is free of parasites, spyware, adware, etc.
I'd run CWShredder and ad-aware.
See: Dealing with Unwanted Spyware and Parasites:

To check your Java installation/version, see:
http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/answers_9.htm
Java Tester - Home Page: http://javatester.org/

Hope this helps,
Don
