Hi,
This is really weird , one of our workstations can not log into a
particular website which is www.freetradezone.com . It will show error
messenge like "can not show pages" as if web site is dead or internet is not
connected. But its IE6 can browse other web pages without problem. Also the
other worksations can get into this particular web instantly except this
machine.
So I wondered it is the DNS setting , but after refresh the DNS of that
workstation , same problem still there.
Then I installed another web browser in that machine, then that other brand
name browser worked !
Why only IE6 can not browse this particular web and the other web browsers
can ?
Any help ?
Henry

Hi Henry :-)

Likely it has to do with your Security settings. Or, you need to add it to
your Trusted Sites or HOSTS file. Also, if is has Flash or Jave be sure you
have that installed. Check to see if it is blocked by any 3rd party
blocker, or if you have SpywareBlaster, be sure the Flashkill is unchecked.
Also try the following and see if it helps

Cannot access just one site

Cannot browse certain websites

or..

Go to the following and open with Notepad,
C:\WINDOWS\HOSTS (the one with no extension (not the .SAM one)
then delete any listing reference for the site you are trying to open.
Then Save and close.

Also..... try adding the site to your Trusted Zone.

If you have Zone Alarm, you might also check the Trusted area there too:

Hope this helps.
