Hi,

My 2nd computer, connected to wireless router using MA101 USB
adapter, used to working fine browsing the web. Recently it is no
longer working although the USB adapter showing 100% link strength and
100% link quality. I checked the network connection icon and the
strength is also reported 100%. But the IE6 just keep saying "can not
find server" It just looks like there is no network connection?
Is there anyone knowing what could be the problem for my IE6?

Thanks for your help

Albert

Ok, first thing, lets check on your network connectivity.
Go to a command prompt, and at the command prompt type
in "ipconfig /all" and make sure that everything is
listing the way it should. Is it set to static IP or is
it obtaining automagically? If it is obtaining, check the
IP that is getting is valid. If it is coming up with
169.x.x.x then it is not obtaining IP info correctly. Try
manually. If you are setting it static, then try to ping
your neighbor machines in the local network.

If you cannot hit the local machines then we're going to
need to know more about the configuration of the network
to nail down where the problem lies. If you can, then try
to ping and known external IP address (66.218.71.198 is
yahoo.com). If your do not get a response there then your
not seeing the gateway, and, again, we will need more info
to fix that.

If you can ping the IP address try to ping by name,
yahoo.com. If you can't hit that then you are going to
need to adjust your DNS settings.

Let us know how that goes.
