IE6 auto search

When I use wild card(?) IE wont search it will come back
with dns not found. I get http:/// in the address box.
Is this something to do with dll files or is it a registry
thing.

Help I am lost, where do i look to resolve the problem??

Don't try to use wild cards. They will be treated as literal characters.
